An announcement in the MLT says there will be a crackdown on agressing driving on Rt 30, from "end to end", Ohio Border to wherever Rt 30 ends in Philly, .... somewhere near 30th Street Station.

While I personally think they can never do enough of this on Lancaster Ave in Lower Merion, it's frustrating to contemplate the reasons listed:

- “There have been far too many crashes and fatalities on Pennsylvania roadways linked to this type of behavior.” - district safety press officer for PennDOT.

- “The facts suggest that we have a problem with aggressive driving,” - Lou Belmonte, district traffic engineer with PennDOT. You think?

I happened to wander by the fire station in Ardmore the other day and heard the alarm at the station going off. Realizing that they were about to respond to a call, I started recording video and managed to get video of all 3 fire engines leaving the station, along with several volunteers dashing in for duty:

Enjoy!

Police: Dead animals dumped in Main Line dispute

This is one wildlife video that probably won't turn up on Animal Planet anytime soon.

Police in Lower Merion say a security camera captured footage of two upscale Main Line real estate agents tossing dead mice and snakes onto the yard of their next-door neighbor's $1 million home on Booth Lane – all part of an alleged plot to sabotage its sale, because their house is also on the market.

Greetings from Chester County. As you have noticed, I do not post much anymore. After all, I moved close to a year and a half ago now and blessedly a lot of your issues in Lower Merion are no longer mine. I will note that not much has changed now that I am an Auslander looking in, and if anything things have gotten worse.

I got this note from the township today:

The Montgomery County Commissioners and the Waste System Authority of Eastern Montgomery County, in conjunction with Shred One Security Corp., will be sponsoring a FREE community paper shredding event this Saturday, June 8th, from 9 a.m. to noon, in the Green Parking Lot at Montgomery County Community College.

The event offers residents in the community the opportunity to destroy their confidential documents and avoid the pitfalls of identity theft. The Shred One mobile shredding trucks perform all of the paper shredding as you watch. There is no need to remove staples, paper clips, hanging file folders, etc.

All shredded paper is recycled.
