BALA CYNWYD, Pa. -- Administrators said a weeklong investigation has been under way into disturbing allegations at a Main Line middle school.

Bala Cynwyd Middle School students are suspected of operating a marijuana ring and then forming an online "hate club" to threaten those who might expose them.
Officials revealed that students aimed the club at a schoolmate because they suspected that student was helping investigators get to the bottom of a drug ring there.

I guess it really does not matter that it is the Holiest Day of the year for a whole lot of people in Ardmore, since this stuff goes on even on Easter, or does it?

PHILADELPHIA -- Investigators charged a 19-year-old from the Main Line with attempted murder Thursday in connection with last month's attack on a Geno's Steaks employee.
The teen's MySpace page says he likes wrestling as well as getting cheesesteaks in Philly, but police say those two things came together in a vicious attack.

Here is some info. on something spectacular happening in our neighborhood. The next concert of the Lower Merion Symphony is on April 13th, 2008 at Rosemont College. Additional info. can be found at www.lowermerionsymphony.org.

Today, I went to hear the symphony play it's annual winter concert. It is an all amateur symphony which my wife decide to participate in this fall. One of our dear friends, Mark Gigliotti, Principal Bassoonist for the Philadelphia Orchestra is the Music Director and Conductor for the LM Symphony - so , you can see I'm biased about this already.

While talking with friends and teachers through out the LM system to attempt to get a set of books for home use to tutor a 4th grader at Pennwynne, it turns out none are available, unless you have an IEP. Students can bring the books they use in class home, but they have to remember to do this and remember to bring them back the next day - which is a challenge for some students. What I thought was interesting is usually schools have a few extras around that can be lent out for long term home use.
