This is the night where Bryn Mawr meets her fate. Do you love this village? Then make your voice heard on the topic. And before Bryn Mawr is recreated, remember what one neighborhood on Central Avenue was like once upon a time:
Ask yourselves why an entire neighborhood had to be sacrificed really? Then look at what it looked like when the bulldozers moved in:
SAC needs to meet to discuss and then decide what we want to do in light of the recent selection of Dranoff as developer of Ardmore and the proposed other projects in Ardmore. Are we headed for overdevelopment and do we want to initiate action to fight for more measured development?
Please mark your calendar and come to a SAC meeting set for next Thursday April 3rd at 7pm at Hunan 2nd floor.
Hey there! Before you saddle up for First Friday Main Line, or check out the grand reopening of the Junior League Thrift Shop, if you can watch it live or hit the "record" button on your VCR or TiVo, please check out Oprah show on Friday April 4th . A local rescue group near and dear to so many Main Line Hearts is teaming up with the mighty Oprah Winfrey!
Here is the news straight from a MLAR volunteer:
Well, the cat is out of the bag, or should I say the dog is out of the hutch!
Main Line Animal Rescue is going to be on Oprah this Friday, April 4.
The show will address euthanasia in our nation's shelters, and the inhumane treatment facing dogs in Pennsylvania's puppy mills. In preparation for the later, MLAR went undercover with Special Investigator Lisa Ling and members of Oprah's production staff. We filmed the day to day horrors of actual puppy mills and you can watch as we rescue a number of the dogs we currently have at our shelter.
