Rosedon is back for a 2nd try at attempting to make North Wayne look as unattractive as parts of Ardmore - they are back with their public storage, which last time was discovered was to really be a place for rich folk to store their play cars. Heaven forbid they store their cars where they live....just as is the case with proposed development at 236 N. Aberdeen, residents in North Wayne should be concerned:

UPDATE! Don't know what it means, but the RT BOC Agenda this evening doesn't mention 236 N. Aberdeen. HOWEVER, if you don't like this plan, and you have the time, please exercise your right to public participation!

Don't let a balmy summertime snooze make you end up singing the 236 North Aberdeen Blues! Pay attention for Radnor's July 21st agenda! Speak out about 236 N. Aberdeen! Make the time to have a say about your own neighborhood!

Tuesday July 22, 2008
Start: 12:00 am

PLEASE NOTE/UPDATE: there is NO agenda posted as of 7:45 a.m. the day of this meeting about this meeting! NICE TOUCH! WHAT IS RADNOR TRYING TO HIDE?

Hey concerned Radnor residents, historic preservationists, neighborhood preservations, Little Chicagoans, and other interested parties! 236 North Aberdeen wasn't on this evening's agenda because the realtors, err developers filed an extension letter with Radnor Township - that will extend them approximately a month. This item will most probably resurface in the dead, dead, dead of AUGUST

That means, kids, that we are talking about August 18th, 2008 at 7:00 PM at the Radnor Township Board of Commissioners.

So, yes, in the dead of summer, unless you are vigilent, this neighborhood could be forever negatively and irrevocably changed. Like those fine folks at Rosedon, who wish to put public storage of rich men's cars at Plant and PA in North Wayne, these folks have no true hardship, they just want to develop, don't they? Pick your poison, but the 236 N. Aberdeen plan is simply a bad plan. The folks on North Aberdeen and Willow Ave have suffered enough over the years, no one needs or deserves this. And point of fact there has been no reported good will or contact on the part of these "developers" and isn't that what the Planning Commission asked of them as they passed this loaded buck to the Commissioners in Radnor?

Start: 7:00 pm
End: 8:00 pm

(Note: The AI has really come into it's own, so we should support them in the community as a "good thing")

How many banks indeed? Should this bank get relief? This bank wants to build where Dunkin' Donuts was. the lot is a logistical nightmare. If they can't fit, shouldn't they just go someplace else? After all it's not like there aren't more of this same bank close by in neighboring communities, right?
