Craig LaBan ate at the new Saint James restaurant in Suburban Square and came away unhappy.  Personally, I hearitly dislike the music they blast into the courtyard, and the fact that their menu is not posted where you can see it from outside.

I'm with Craig LaBan, but my gripe is on the ambiance and atmosphere as much as the food. I went in wanting to like the place, but during my one visit it distinctly reminded me of a stodgy, tired old dining room in a main line country club, the kind that the good intentions of painting up the place, redoing the floors and hanging a few pictures didn't mask what it really is, part of an institution past it's prime. The clientel that day definitely added to this impression. I kind of expected to see a wedding reception is a banquet room next door, or hear a gaggle of ladies socializing following an afternoon meeting of the junior league.

I have not eaten there as of yet. However I have always disliked tateless music being played outside in a public space regardless. It is just low class. ie Chestnut and Market Street in Philadelphia.
