Narberth Amber Alert Canceled; Father Still Missing

An 18-month-old baby girl was found safe but miles away from home after authorities set off an Amber Alert Tuesday night.....Investigators found the child, Macie Baird of Narberth, in New Jersey about nine hours after her father, Glenn Minch, allegedly beat the baby’s mother, Courtney Baird, and abducted the child from the 100 block of Woodside Avenue in Narberth, Montgomery County, according to police..... Police and the FBI were still searching for Minch, who was described as a 6-foot, 180-pound white man with a tribal tattoo on his bicep. Police said Baird, 34, was hospitalized and underwent surgery after Minch allegedly crushed her larnyx and vertebrae with his bare hands.

Eighteen-month-old Macie Baird was found unharmed this morning at the home of her grandmother in Woodbridge, N.J.
The Narberth toddler was the subject of an Amber alert overnight, after allegedly being abducted last night by a man who severely beat the girl's mother, authorities said.

The mother, Courtney Baird, suffered serious strangulation injuries in the attack, which happened around 8:45 p.m. at her home in the 100 block of Woodside Avenue, according to Tom Grady, Narberth mayor and chief of police.

After being taken to Lankenau Hospital, Courtney Baird was flown to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where she was in surgery this morning, with possible voicebox and spinal cord injuries, Grady said.
