Susan Tepper accused of assaulting *another* nanny

Susan Tepper is in trouble again. As we wrote back in February, Tepper was accused of assaulting a nanny. She was sentenced to one year of probation plus $2,800 in fines and ordered into anger management classes.

Yet, barely three months into her probation, police were called to her Villanova estate Sunday evening. She was accused of getting in an altercation with another nanny, leaving the nanny with scratches on her face as well as bruises. She then allegedly swore at the nanny's 9 year old daughter and shoved her to the ground.

Yep, nothing says "maturity" and "self control" like shoving around children.

Main Line Socialite Charged With Assaulting Another Nanny

A Main Line socialite, already on probation for attacking her nanny last year at this time, has been arrested again on charges she assaulted another nanny over the weekend.

Lower Merion police in Pennsylvania were called to Susan Tabas Tepper’s (above) Villanova estate late Sunday night for a report of an assault. Sergeant John Stillwagon says the nanny told them she was trying to leave the house with her nine-year-old daughter when Tepper became increasingly angry:

"Mrs. Tepper got into an argument with her and tried to forcibly take the keys from her. That’s when the struggle ensued and during the struggle, she scratched her on the face and caused a couple bruises on her body."

Court papers reveal Tepper then swore at the little girl and shoved her to the ground.

Tepper is charged with two counts of simple assault and one count of harassment. The nanny was treated and released.

Ooops, she did it again....how very Britney...seriously, this is a parole violation, will she get more unfair special treatment or go to jail? She should go to jail and her McMansion should be turned into a shelter for abused women and children.

Crikey, Main Line Mama should've been outed in that editorial last week, 'cause that is who is referred to here:

"As a matter of fact, I am going to do one bad driver a particular favor and not "out" her. Suffice to say, the faux crest on the white refrigerator of an SUV she drives makes her stand out, and it would behoove her to stop at the three way stop signs, and not roll through traffic lights."

What a freak. Who knew ? Is Susan Tabas Tepper above the law? How embarassing for her poor kids....what it must be like to grow up with jokes for parents...

On Wednesday -- a year after Main Liner and socialite Susan Tabas-Tepper was charged with beating up her housekeeper -- she assaulted another worker, scratching a nanny's face and throwing her to the ground, according to police.

Tabas-Tepper was charged with two counts of simple assault and harassment, after she was accused of assaulting a nanny as she tried to leave the home with her 9-year-old daughter.

Police said the nanny was taken to a local hospital after the assault....Police said she may have to appear before a Montgomery County judge in Norristown if it's determined that she violated her parole issued after last year's case.

Did the carrot wielding divorcee get dumped in May or something? Her last nanny beater event made the news May 24, 2006 - basically a year to the day. Does some cosmic force make her beat someone in May?

Oy vey! If this accusation by this current nanny proves true and Main Line Mama strikes another deal you know the fix is in.....

One minor point, she's on probation, not parole. I believe there is slight difference between each of them.

Maybe someone with a better legal background than I have can comment on what a probation violation would mean for her.

Rule 708. Violation of Probation, Intermediate Punishment, or Parole: Hearing and Disposition.
(A) A written request for revocation shall be filed with the clerk of courts.

(B) Whenever a defendant has been sentenced to probation or intermediate punishment, or placed on parole, the judge shall not revoke such probation, intermediate punishment, or parole as allowed by law unless there has been:

(1) a hearing held as speedily as possible at which the defendant is present and represented by counsel; and

(2) a finding of record that the defendant violated a condition of probation, intermediate punishment, or parole.

(C) Sentencing Procedures

(1) At the time of sentencing, the judge shall afford the defendant the opportunity to make a statement in his or her behalf and shall afford counsel for both parties the opportunity to present information and argument relative to sentencing.

(2) The judge shall state on the record the reasons for the sentence imposed.

(3) The judge shall advise the defendant on the record:

(a) of the right to file a motion to modify sentence and to appeal, of the time within which the defendant must exercise those rights, and of the right to assistance of counsel in the preparation of the motion and appeal; and

(b) of the rights, if the defendant is indigent, to proceed in forma pauperis and to proceed with assigned counsel as provided in Rule 122.

(4) The judge shall require that a record of the sentencing proceeding be made and preserved so that it can be transcribed as needed. The record shall include:

(a) the record of any stipulation made at a pre-sentence conference; and

(b) a verbatim account of the entire sentencing proceeding.

(D) Motion to Modify Sentence

A motion to modify a sentence imposed after a revocation shall be filed within 10 days of the date of imposition. The filing of a motion to modify sentence will not toll the 30-day appeal period.

The Main Line heiress was back in handcuffs police said for the second time in a year in connection with an assault on an employee and now Tabas-Tepper is in Montgomery County prison.

"I didn't do what they accused me of. I hope my family and friends will help me this time," Tabas-Tepper said Wednesday. "Hopefully, for something I didn't do, I won't go to prison, because I’m innocent."

This isn't Tabas-Tepper’s first arrest or the first time she's been accused of assaulting a woman hired as a nanny to her children, police said.

"Something similar happened before I let it go I did not do what they accused me of I'm being targeted," Tabas-Tepper said.

She said she is innocent but police disagreed.

Ex-nanny sues jailed heiress over kitchen assault in 2006

The Nicaraguan child-care worker roughed up by Main Line nanny-beater Susan Tabas Tepper last May has sued her former employer for assault and battery.
Xiomara D. Salinas, 43, who won a criminal case in February against Tepper - who was arrested Wednesday on charges she had smacked around another nanny - filed a civil suit yesterday seeking damages in excess of $50,000.

"She has nightmares still," said Salinas' attorney, Marc D. Vitale of Philadelphia. "She's still rattled by the whole thing."

The suit, filed in Montgomery County Court, "is a logical result of the criminal incident," he said.

In February, the banking heiress was sentenced to a year's probation and ordered to pay $2,800 in fines, attend anger-management classes, and perform community service for assaulting Salinas with a bag of carrots and other objects.

Tepper was arrested this week after she allegedly pushed around Urszula Kordzior and the woman's 9-year-old daughter as the two tried to leave Tepper's Villanova mansion late Sunday.

Tepper denied the charges, which she said were retaliation by an employee who was being fired.

Instead of commanding the platoon of nannies who work at her Eagle Farm estate, the mother of four - ages 2 to 13 - is in the Montgomery County jail awaiting a bail hearing on a probation-violation charge, which carries up to a year in prison. The assault charges, all misdemeanors, also could involve jail time.

Vitale said Tepper's second arrest - in an alleged attack on another foreign-born employee, this one from Eastern Europe - brought back painful memories for Salinas. The Philadelphia resident felt validated by her decision to press civil charges, he said.

"This is an ongoing problem," he said of Tepper.
