Save Ithan Community Presentation
|
Save Ithan Coalition has been invited to present its proposals to the Radnor Township Planning Commission June 4th at the temporary township building. The event will bring together a large number of SIC groups to present objections to unreasonable development in in the Ithan area, and discuss downstream flooding, and the need for community input in all development proposals. The Scardino family has issued plans for the building of three MacMansions on their 8.5 acres of woodland, including on flood plains and wetlands. The wild turkeys that have just made their spring appearnce on this beautiful area may not live to next Thanksgiving. But, they aren't the only turkeys around. O'Neill is ramping up for new push to build on its tiny acre at Conestoga and Sproul Roads, and has asked when it can be added to the schedule. The Farley group, with its strip mall proposal, seems to be waiting it out. The meeting starts at 7PM and SIC is #6 on the agenda. It will be televised on local access TV. permalinkScardino and family has pulled their plan for deforestation for a future meeting. O'Neill is still planning to push, it is rumored, his "Condo Stilt" plan for yet another future meeting. (Does your condo purchase include swimming membership?)
Meanwhile, after 2 years of allowing the O'Neill property to continue to deteriorate, it has been gussied up to allow shooting of a PA lottery commercial. A slap of paint, sweeping up glass and trash, and "Gus the Groundhog" touts the lottery from the gas station.
Maybe, after buying his losing lottery ticket, O'Neill hopes "Gus" can help change the rules.
