Have you heard? Susan Tabas-Temper Pleads Guilty - Lawyers Claim Mental Health Issues?

Yeah...mental health issues indeed - does acting like a spoiled brat count? Ok, well this twisted fairy tale, The NEW Philadelphia Story has been the stuff People Magazine and Page Six (New York Post) thrive on from beginning to end...while former Main Liner Tory Burch has shed her country club "mommy and me" demeanor to become a vixen and nouveau New York City social climbing social-light and bunkmate of Lance Armstrong, Tabas-Temper seems destined for a straight jacket or striped p.j.s as everyday attire....and oh good golly, they refer to her still as a millionaire in the media - as if she earned any of that moola and wealth her family accumulated through hard work? Seriously, how embarassing is it her grandfather, father, and uncle were literally a rags to riches story....don't think there is a pill for selfish and self-important (if there was 80% of the Main Line would be on it)....Here's the latest:

Main Line heiress pleads guilty to nanny attack
By Kathleen Brady Shea
INQUIRER STAFF WRITER

Villanova heiress Susan Tabas Tepper, who has spent six weeks in prison on probation-violation charges, pleaded guilty today to physically harrassing her nanny and the woman's 9-year-old daughter on May 20.

The 44-year-old mother of four appeared in Montgomery County Common Pleas Court, where she acknowledged that the attacks violated her probation for attacking a different nanny in May 2006.

Sentencing for the offenses will be scheduled after the banking-and-hotel heiress completes 30 days of court-ordered in-patient mental health treatment, to begin as early as Friday. Tepper faces a maximum of 18 months behind bars.

In an agreement between Assistant District Attorney John Gradel and defense attorney Marc Steinberg, Tepper was expected to leave Montgomery County prison today after posting 10 percent of $50,000 bail.

I was Susan's Nanny for about a day and a half about nine years ago....she was verbally abusive to me. one of her children accidentally knocked down and broke a lamp and said he was sorry. She replied, "It's not your fault." Stating that it was my fault. She also repeatedly made rude remarks to me in front of her kids. And told me to lower my voice outside where I was playing hide and seek with her children. I had enough after the second day and told her I was leaving.
I am glad she is getting what she deserves! She hired me so she could abuse me verbally!

Thanks for your comment. Have you spoken to the media about this? Are you one of the nannies interviewed by the Inquirer in previous articles? According to what her attorney is claiming some "trobling event" triggers these attacks? Were you a nanny by chance during the month of May? Read this from the Philadelphia Daily News:

Rough-on-nannies Main Liner is trading jail for mental facility
By DAVE DAVIES

After six weeks in jail, can convicted Main Line nanny-smacker Susan Tabas Tepper get her act together and leave the household help alone? We may not know until next May.
The two nanny attacks that got Tepper arrested occurred near the late-May anniversary of a traumatic event in her life, Tepper's attorney said Tuesday, and she'll be getting court-ordered mental-health treatment soon.

...Steinberg said psychologists who examined Tepper in a Montgomery County jail were convinced her violent behavior toward domestics was related to memories of a troubling event he declined to describe.

"It's like an anniversary syndrome, and that's why it happened," Steinberg said.

Tepper reports to an in-patient mental-health facility tomorrow for 30 days of treatment, one of the conditions that got her out of jail. She was arrested May 23 for roughing up nanny Urszula Kordzior....Tepper was jailed immediately then because the fracas violated terms of her probation from her conviction last year for hitting another nanny with a bag of carrots and a telephone handset.

....."She's just not right in the head, and we're going to give her the opportunity to receive the type of treatment that the defense claims she's in dire need of," Gradel said. "So I think it's in everyone's best interest that we at least give her the opportunity to straighten her act out."

Tepper faces sentencing for the harassment charge and violation of her probation from last year's incident after she completes her 30-day mental-health treatment.

She could get up to a year and a half, Grader said, or avoid further jail time.

"No matter what happens, she's going to be under supervision for the next year and a half," Grader said. "So there will be a strong incentive to be a law-abiding citizen again."

But another legal battle looms for Tepper, and it may generate information that undermines the notion that her misbehavior is a once-a-year phenomenon....She appeared relaxed and comfortable in a cranberry jacket and black pants, answering questions about her guilty plea in a clear voice. Her attorney noted that sometimes jail life is less stressful than coping with life's daily pressures.

"She found the prison to be very well run," Steinberg said. "She said she thought that the people were very nice and she thought it was very well-organized and run." *

Oh ok, high praise from an inmate? Good thing she had adequate service in jail...our tax dollars supported Susie Bruisie's stay...we were so worried....apparently she fared better then Paris Hilton....

No I am not one of the recent Nannies....I was with her about 6-8 years ago while I was in college student.....I don't remember the exact month but I do know that it was sometime after May because I was off from school. She had put an ad in the Jewish Exponent for a nanny. I was working at her shore house in Margate, New Jersey.
