Awesome...we'll be there as we are a neighborhood that has suffered at the hands of utility companies over the past few years...inexplicable power outages, tunnels in the street...the works! This event would be perfect if they had included Amtrak....

Here's the press release someone sent us:

Township to Host Public Utilities Community Forum on August 15th
In cooperation with State Senator Connie Williams, the Township of Lower Merion will host a Public Utilities Community Forum on Wednesday, August 15th at 7 p.m. in the Board Room of the Township Administration Building, 75 E. Lancaster Avenue in Ardmore.

Representatives from PECO, Verizon, Aqua America and the Public Utilities Commission (PUC) will be on hand to make brief presentations, receive public input and answer questions. “From outages during storms to water main repairs, street lighting to the new Verizon FiOS boxes on telephone poles, there are a variety of issues that will be addressed at this important forum,” stated Douglas S. Cleland, Township Manager. “Along with Sen. Williams, our other local elected officials are expected to be in attendance and we hope that our residents will avail themselves of this opportunity to hear from the utilities and be heard.”

The Public Utilities Community Forum will be cablecast live on Channel 7, with DVD copies to be available at Bala Cynwyd and Ludington Libraries.

For more information on this Forum, call the Township’s Public Information Office at 610-645-6199.
