Another warning on Lower Merion carjacking

The Lower Merion Police Department is again warning residents that potential carjackers may be following them as they drive home in late evening hours.

"A total of three incidents have occurred following a similar pattern," Supt. Joseph J. Daly said in a news release.

The most recent victim returned to her Wynnewood home from Philadelphia at approximately 10 p.m. on Aug. 29. She traveled an indirect route home through the west and southwest sections of Philadelphia, and apparently was followed. When she arrived home a man left the other car and demanded her keys, escaping in the victim's SUV.

Oh swell. Now we aren't even safe to go into the city? That is terrifying that random people are being followed home like this.

Once again, Philadelphia's crime issues are becoming our problems.

Are they targeting certain types of cars and SUVs?
