While the neighborhood will undoubtedly remain forever divided on this issue, it is still good news!

Neighbors received word via e-mail that the Haverford Historic District has been approved by the state, and we hope a Victorian District in Ardmore is to follow soon!

We do not have approval to post entire e-mail, but here is an excerpt:

...just informed that the PA Historical & Museum Commission approved the Haverford Local Historic District today.

This was the final step to becoming an approved local historic district....[There is a]...formal process to add these properties to the Historic Resource Inventory but the local district is official as of today.

LOL, of course we know this means a certain local developer will add this to his marketing piece....and we might futher add that the properties at 16 and 28 North Buck Lane look blighted now....does this project have to get built? Will this project get built? Will Dreycott Lane get built? OR will developers just leave Haverford looking blighted and open to Midge McCauley's interpretations?
