Good Night, Mr. Fanning

On Friday, Lower Merion Township lost a heck of a guy. On Friday, Francis J. "Mike" Fanning Jr. passed away after a long illness.

May the rains fall soft upon your fields,

May God hold you in the hollow of His hand

Mr. Fanning was very supportive of all of us at Save Ardmore Coalition from day one, as well as being an important voice in Bryn Mawr, where even up until the end, he was involved in the community.

For years, many probably remember Mr. Fanning from the Bryn Mawr Civic Association and many other things. When you thought about Bryn Mawr, you thought about guys like him: guys that just loved and believed in his community.

Mr. Fanning was a beloved fixture in Lower Merion. The Save Ardmore Coalition extends their collective heart felt sympathies to his family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Mother of Good Counsel Church (Pennswood Rd., Bryn Mawr) Wed. 12 Noon where relatives and friends may visit the family after 9 A.M. Int. Calvary Cem. In lieu of flowers donations in Mike's name to The Michael Fanning Foundation, PO Box 275, Bryn Mawr, PA 19010 would be appreciated.
