Dear Alycia,
We've left you alone up here on this blog, but we have to weigh in 'cause you remind us of a couple other people we don't really want to know and you make about as much sense as that serial nanny basher we all know about...would you like your own bag of organic carrots next time you decide to cop bash?
Now you played Ms. Impatient with your former Howard dude, DJ Booker in NYC. You got jiggy with a cop and called her a bad name.
What did you think would happen to your Philadelphia media career? A raise and a corner office?
Since you landed in Philadelphia you have BEEN the news more than you have reported the news. You act like an alley cat with even less of a sense of propriety and where's that moral compass when discussing those infamous photos?
Newsflash girlfriend: You ain't all that and a bag of chips! Please, just go away and leave us to mock other news personalities much more worthy of attention. Pack up your Barbie dolls and make tracks. We'll all help you pack (for a small fee of course)
Thanks Alycia! You're a peach (NOT)...mebbe you shouldn't sue but just file for unemployment compensation?
Everyone else, check this out:
Exit Lane: CBS 3 fires Alycia
ANCHOR IS ACCUSED OF ASSAULTING NYC COP
By REGINA MEDINA & DAN GROSS

IN THE END, after the initial drama, repeated denials and weeks of waiting, the news was as expected as Mayor Nutter's inauguration:
Alycia Lane, the CBS 3 anchorbabe who swept into town in September 2003 and, within a few years, became a Philly and New York tabloid fixture, was fired yesterday by the television station.
The action comes three weeks after Lane was arrested in Lower Manhattan for allegedly assaulting a New York police officer. The Emmy-winning journalist also called the female cop a "f- - -ing dyke," according to a police report.

Lane lawsuit coming today?
With Philadelphia courts opening up in a few hours, the countdown has begun to an expected wrongful termination suit from Alycia Lane against CBS 3

Reuters: Alycia Lane's Lawyer Issues a Statement (if it will load of course)
PHILADELPHIA, Jan. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- The following statement is being
issued by Paul Rosen, legal counsel to Alycia Lane, in connection with her
termination from KYW-TV.
Paul Rosen is chair of the litigation group of Spector Gadon & Rosen,
P.C., Philadelphia
"We have learned today that KYW-TV (Channel 3) has unilaterally terminated
Alycia Lane's employment. The conduct of KYW-TV is contrary to the terms of
her Employment Contract which has many additional years remaining. The
termination comes at a time when there has been absolutely no determination
that Alycia is guilty of any wrongful conduct, and after KYW-TV has aired her
categorical denial of the alleged charge that is pending against her. The
termination is unfair because Alycia has never had an opportunity to defend
against this charge, and tell her side of the story publicly, before KYW-TV
has taken this unusual and unwarranted step to terminate her employment.
Obviously, on the advice of counsel, Alycia cannot talk about these matters
because of the matter that is pending in New York."

Ummm...didn't Alycia call Fast-Eddie-Leadfoot-Cheesesteak-Rendell? Is Alycia interested in a career in politics?

Why did Alycia, fresh from jail, call Gov. Rendell?
PhillyMag/Daily Examiner:If You Were Alycia Lane, Would Ed Rendell Be One of Your First Phone Calls?
Yesterday’s late-breaking Alycia Lane news might be the most startling yet: For some reason, Lane chose to call Governor Ed Rendell soon after she’d been released from prison in New York City. This latest report, on top of the alleged derogatory insults and police officer assault, paints a clearer picture about the real person — not the anchorperson — at the center of all of this unwanted, unnecessary attention.
The Rendell call, however innocent, was a mind-blowing display of tactlessness and hubris that’s almost beyond comprehension: Of course a popular local anchorwoman should ring up one of the most influential men in the state after a night in jail to “get her side of the story out” — who better? Does Ukee Washington have that kind of pull as well?
Pssst...Booker? Dump her now....
