Dear SAC,

It's great to see the good impact of your dedication to building a strong Ardmore community. Your good campaign sets a great example for everyone on how to be engaged citizens. Warmest thanks for the steadfast commitment (i.e., work) and congratulations to you.

Speaking of being engaged, here is a notice about the first ever fund-raising event for Friends of the Barnes Foundation Legal Defense Fund. Here are the details:

Who: Renowned pianist Beth Levin will perform (performed with Philadelphia Orchestra at 12 years of age, studied at Curtis with Rudolph Serkin)
What: J.S. Bach's "Goldberg Variations"
When: Sunday, January 27 at 3 o'clock
Where: Settlement Music School, 416 Queen Street, Philadelphia.
How much: Tickets cost $50 per person for general admission and $100 per person for sponsor seating. Through members' generous donations, some free tickets are available.

I realize that SAC also needs to raise funds for your important work, but hopefully people can find a way to help the Friends, too. Our legal challenge to the destruction of the Barnes Foundation has never been in a stronger position than it is right now. That strong position, though, costs a great deal of money. Well, everybody, thanks,I know you will do what you can and, more importantly, we know that we have your full support and for that we are so grateful.
