Hmmm...Goldilocks, Are There 3 GOP Bears for State Senate?

This horse race is getting down right busy on the Republican side....Now we knew Lance Rogers was running, and then we heard John Durante the old Sheriff in town was running, and up pops a new blog called

Lisa Paolino for State Senate, yes, http://paolinoforsenate.blogspot.com/

So, now we have an answer to the "is Delco going to field any candidates", eh?

So, is blogging not so bad anymore?

Interesting.

Well of course! It's okay when she does it!

I can't help but wonder if that's really her writing the blog entries, or some overly eager fanboy volunteer:

My bet's on the latter.

Interesting Election Year

SO Connie won't be running this year. And guess who has decided to run? Yep, our very own Commish. I guess all the talk about working for her Ward and such was just election year hyperbole. I will follow this closely and be sure to note things that don't quite line up with my understanding of the facts. Right off we start with the statement that three campaigns were run without the support of the machine. Sure.

Another interesting race will be Bill Adolph, 20 year veteran state rep against challenger Tom Quinn. As you may remember, Bill lost in 5-2 last time out.

This does raise an interesting point no matter who it is running - these people who wish to run from the commissioner's chair to state senate: how is it they have time to do both because in essence, local commissioners do this and hold down full time jobs, right? Isn't that a lot of scheduling to fit into one day? This is honest curiousity here since we know the hours our commissioners in Lower Merion keep due to the unfortunate length of some of our meetings, right?

Also, out of all these candidates, are they all endorsed no matter by what political party? How does that work exactly? Can you run whether or not you are endorsed? How much money does a state race cost an individual candidate and what are the campaign finance rules in PA?
