(and yes, we had it up first)
Our little spies tell us that apparently Lance Rogers is the chosen one in Montgomery County by a 2 to 1 margin. We're hearing that John Durante conceded gracefully... Is this true? (Oh where is a reporter when you need one?)

Well, then, are congratulations in order for Commissioner Lance Rogers for becoming Montgomery County's endorsed Republican Candidate for State Sentate in the 17th District?

So does that mean it will be Lance versus what's her name in the primary?

Daylin Leach gets to sit back and watch the fur fly with the rest of us, eh? Hey there Daylin, you making the popcorn?

Oh hey now, we almost forgot, Lance has a campaign site staked out - well not really a site yet, but it will be eventually we guess - www.electlancerogers.com

Think Lance will get a quote from Michael Sembello too? Remember Flash Dance? What were those lyrics?

Hey.....we're not saying a thing, or insinuating a thing...we are merely reliving a GREAT 80's song now that we were so prompted!

LOOK! Check out "Maniac" on YOU TUBE!

LOVE IT!

RELEASE: LANCE ROGERS WINS CRITICAL MONTGOMERY COUNTY GOP ENDORSEMENT FOR STATE SENATE

Readies 8-Month Grassroots Campaign for November Election

(Ardmore, PA) - Lower Merion Commissioner Lance Rogers secured the endorsement of the Montgomery County Republican Committee tonight by an overwhelming vote of 112-57, besting longtime County Sheriff John Durante. The MCRC endorsement is critical to the 17th Senate District Republican nomination.

“I am honored to receive the support of the committee and pledge to work my hardest every day over the next eight months towards winning this election. Tonight’s endorsement was a major step forward for our campaign, and we now can begin growing our grassroots organization and spreading our message of low taxes, ethical government, better schools and safe neighborhoods,” said Lance Rogers. “We must unify our Party and move forward with a full focus on November by building a strong grassroots organization that engages hundreds of our neighbors throughout Montgomery and Delaware counties.”

Rogers was elected to the Lower Merion Board of Commissioners in 2005 from the most Democratic ward in the Township. In that time, he co-sponsored the resolution that killed the Ardmore eminent domain land grab, twice voted against township budgets that sought to raise taxes, and twice was named a “Budget Hawk” by the Citizens for Responsible Budgeting. As Chair of the Fire Committee and Vice-Chair of the Police Committee, he has built close working relationships with hundreds of volunteer firefighters and public safety personnel.

“Our campaign will be reaching out to voters of all political stripes, because I believe the best way to positively change Harrisburg is by listening to my neighbors on their doorsteps the way I always have,” added Rogers. “We need new faces in Harrisburg who are willing to work for better communities here at home and across Pennsylvania, and that’s exactly what I plan to do if elected to the State Senate.”

The 17th Senate District includes a majority of Montgomery County municipalities, including both Lower and Upper Merion Townships, Narberth, Conshohocken, West Conshohocken, Bridgeport, Norristown, Plymouth and East Norriton Townships, and two municipalities in Delaware County, including Radnor and Haverford Townships.
