If at the meeting the other night EBL&S made it clear of their dedication and intent to build us a community space, why is the township downplaying it, or even saying the opposite? Why would the township wish to potentially torpedo something the majority wants? If at the meeting the other night EBL&S made it clear they were not building on the PSB lot, why is the township putting it out there that they are? How much money would that cost taxpayers, and if taxpayers want their "city hall" and "police administrative building" just where it is, why change it? Why is a certain former commissioner going to be involved in Ardmore's redevelopment at all? Isn't that like letting the fox back into the hen house?
Is there a double standard going on in Ardmore? Are some residents valued more than others? Is blight and crime being ignored in some South Ardmore neighborhoods? Why is it ok for property owners to just leave their properties littered with trash and unkempt? We get that not everyone can get their property looking like Trump Tower, but you know what, why is it such a big deal to clean up and be somewhat tidy? Is it true that there is are real crime issues around Spring and Simpson Avenues in Ardmore that is being overlooked? Is it true there is a boarded up building on Spring? Is it true there are still really serious issues along both sides of County Line Road in Ardmore? In both Haverford and Lower Merion Townships? Could the bars and "social" clubs do better by residential residents? Look, we are asking questions because the community is asking questions. We are fortunate to have a wonderful police department and dedicated Ardmore commissioners. We are sure they will take care of this. Kudos to Commissioner Phillips for really getting into the graffiti problem to enact change and clean up. And thanks belatedly to the LMPD for picking up a couple graffiti artists a while back. Also something you should be looking at? This March 3rd Planning Commission agenda item - file it under "no wait, there's more":
Hmmmm, is this another project from the fine folks who want to bring us 130 Cricket whether we want it or not? Is this why we heard one of the development team partners has been seen auditing public meetings at the township? Who will their legal representation be this time? Speaking of those developers check out the docket for their suit against Lower Merion Twp:
