To: Neighbors of Fritsch’s Exxon Station, Woodside & Montgomery
From: North Ardmore Civic Association

On Thursday, April 17 at 7:15pm, the Zoning Hearing Board will hear the
Fritsch/Exxon request to convert their service bays to a convenience
store and add an automatic car wash. This will be the third hearing on
their application, the first two having been continued because Exxon’s
presentation was incomplete and/or did not answer the board’s questions
which were prompted by our attorney, Mark Clemm.

As with the first two hearings, it is critical that, in addition to our
legal basis for objecting, we demonstrate by a large attendance at the
meeting our complete and total opposition to Exxon’s application. Our
presence will also have a direct impact on the board’s decision to place
the Exxon application first on the agenda and give maximum time to the
Exxon hearing in order to avoid another continuance.

Here is a quick summary of our position:

* Our Legal basis for objecting, as developed by Mark Clemm, is based on
Pennsylvania case law regarding expansion of a non-conforming use (the
station is in an area that is zoned residential).

* Our Residents basis for objecting is the devastating impact that
Exxon’s expansion will have on traffic congestion and safety, pedestrian
and school children safety, noise, and trash pollution.

Thank you for your continuous involvement and we look forward to seeing
you at the hearing. Also, we thank those of you who have made generous
financial contributions to our legal costs. These costs continue to
increase, since our lawyer will be at the hearing on April 17. We need
additional contributions. Please make checks payable to

at 7:15 pm in the Board Room on the second floor of the Township
Building, 75 East Lancaster Ave., Ardmore.
