Lippincott and Spring in Ardmore: Police Activity ?

Yesterday afternoon, 5/1/08, Ardmore residents reported some sort of police activity? Supposedly around Lippincott and Spring? Apparently there was a very strong law enforcement presence, and it may or may not have been LMPD responding alone? We had reports of possibly a couple different types of uniforms, so we don't know if that was different parts of our police force, or if there was assistance from others? There are residents in this areas who are engaged in a dialogue (that has not been going to well) with Chief Daly about corner drug dealing and other crime. I do not know if this is related to what happened - I'm going to call a few folks over in that area and see if I can find out.
