Last evening the Planning Commission in Ardmore heard a very troublesome plan:

TENTATIVE SKETCH PLAN
106 Cricket Avenue, Ardmore, SD# 3601, Ward 4.
Construction of a five-story 73-unit apartment building with 32 affordable units and 38 market-rate units and associated stormwater management system. Also proposed is an underground garage with 72 parking spaces and 2 on-street parking spaces to meet the minimum requirement of 73 parking spaces.

Save one nay vote, it got passed through for approval and now will go before the Lower Merion Township Board of Commissioners.

Can it be said succinctly this is another problematic plan from the architects of change who wish to develop 130 Cricket Avenue?

Well, we're not going to say any more than that because neighbors didn't really show up and say how they feel.

Are we to assume by this lack of action that they don't care about this plan? Are they o.k. with this plan then?

We'll wait and see before we report further. We still say it's a bad plan with more problems then potential for praise. We still say this is yet another example why Ardmore needs a master plan and the township needs a viable comprehemnsive plan. But, the neighbors need to weigh in. And if they don't have any problems, well then, it's their neighborhood, isn't it?
