Hey Wayne Residents! Tell BOC NO on 236 N. Aberdeen Monday June 16th, 2008

2008-06-16 19:00 2008-06-16 20:30 Etc/GMT-5 Tick, tock! Tick, tock! The Radnor Planning Commission passed the buck on 236 N. Aberdeen Ave in North Wayne on May 5th. Radnor Twp Board of Commissioners are doing what? Channeling their inner ostriches? They discussed 236 N. Aberdeen on what? May 12th? But that was caucus not a decision, so are they going to try to ignore this issue into approval? And that would be happening when precisely? One would think that the commissioner for this ward would take a stand for his constituency and say NO, right? ONLY IF RESIDENTS ALLOW IT! Please do NOT allow it! Turn out! Speak up! Dermand a NO vote on 236 North Aberdeen Ave! And then there is the little issue of FEMA, since is it or is it not true that homes on the low side of the creek on Willow Avenue in particular are indeed in a flood plain? So does Radnor Township give a rat's fanny AT ALL? Or is this once again money talks, the rest of us walks? Here is the agenda: A G E N D A Do not let Radnor play possum here. Go be heard on 236 N. Aberdeen. It's simply a BAD plan - nothing more, nothing less. Of course can it be said Radnor Township playing possum or secret squirrel is as annoying as when Lower Merion wrings their collective hands and says "we wish that we could do more"? Radnor Township BOC can indeed say NO to this application. And they should. Of course, will the realtor developers fight back? By trying to say people do not have a right to their opinion on this and other issues? Here's the 411: it's called The First Amendment. Which means that citizens can say this plan stinks as well as complaining about other issues, correct? Is it true that some would stifle comment about this neighborhood? Hmmmmm? Why is that? Anyone wonder? Sheesh, if developers wanted to redevlop this house (below), no one would care...they would have a parade, huh? Bookmark/Search this post with: |
