Putting Up the Dukes for the Barnes

Friends of the Barnes Foundation is NOT laying down to die, as hoped for by our adversaries. On the contrary -- we are just getting warmed up! Links to a couple of items below:

See Culturegrrl blog post, "Sozanski Socks the Barnes Move" about the Inquirer's Art Critic's belated but powerful piece.

Yes, but what are you going to DO? The lawsuit is over and heretofore your group has been shy about doing things like public protest...so what are you going to do?

Articles and blog posts are nice, they keep your story alive, but what about you guys? Have you contacted the big Barnes donors to ask them to change their donation to a donation that preserves the collection where it is? Have you gone downtown to check out the lack of progress at the site that will house the collection? Have you visited Mayor Nutter yet to ask him about his opinion? Or is he too hard to catch since he is passing ordinances demading tour guides pass history tests and pay for licenses?

Look, you guys have our support, but these questions are inevitable.

All good questions! Actually, a number of things are in the works. Yes, the donors are about to be targeted; other plans are afoot.

Well, hope you get to it soon because you are just about out of time. It's not a tea party, pick up a picket....good luck to you in all seriousness...
