No one has taken eminent domain off the table in spite of state and federal legislation that has been voted in, all the other pending legislation, and national sentiment. In state after state, local governments all over are dumping ill advised eminent domain projects...but here? Officially? Nothing concrete has been recounted to us.
Take this one last opportunity in 2005 to go in front of this Board and tell them to stop the contention. Even if your pet peeve ISN'T eminent domain, go excercise your legal rights of freedom of speech, and protect your rights as a taxpayer. We're not being mean spirited, it is merely the truth: if you don't open your mouths and tell those who govern you in a constructive manner what is bugging you, you have no one to blame but yourselves.
