This should be interesting when this goes before Valentine next week per the legal points mentioned In This Recent Blog Post

This is (allegedly) Diane Tyler.. the person accused of criminal harrassment by Narberth Police Department. I will gladly furnish this blog with information relative to this case - including the grounds provided in the complaint and transcript of the email (not blog, email) exchange I have and part of what is referred to in the charges - if appropriate.
It grows more interesting as time goes by but I thought there is (sadly) little interest in the story.. I am not aware that there is a hearing scheduled for next week since I have not received notice yet and Judge Valentine has my phone number, fax number, address, etc. since she granted my initial request to continue . . and my request for legal defense has been ignored by the Public Defender's office thus far...
In a nutshell: I complained directly to the Narberth Board of Commissioners prior to moving back to Huntsville, Alabama (no one is on the run here, sorry.. just bad timing) on behalf of a narberth citizen and the treatment she received by one narberth police officer (and I have publicly supported and still do, retaining narberth's police dept. as a matter of social policy and because I am a scolar in law and social policy) and this was the response.. Sgt. Yantorno, on behalf of the Narberth Police Dept. - filed the above referenced criminal complaint(s) against me.. Smacks of Intimidation Tactics to me...???
The Main Line Times reporter covered the story poorly to say the least (and then..he got your attention at least!). .while he did contact me via email once, saying he wanted to speak with me and get my side of the story and I did respond that same day that yes I would like to speak with him... I never heard from him again - even though I emailed him again after the article came out, asking that he print an addendum to the story since he never responded to my willingness to participate in the coverage.
I will check this blog every day for any responses or interest....thank you all for taking the time to be involved in your community..these efforts are the grassroots for voters to become politically involved..

permalinkYou might want to speak to an attorney who is local to you about this. If they are trying to schedule hearings without notifying you, that sounds rather um... unfair to me. :-/
As far as sharing the emails go, have you considered creating an account on Scribd.com and uploading them there?

permalinkDear Ms. Tyler,
I took the time to look up e-mail addresses for the local papers and came up with these:
(Just in case you want to e-mail them again, even as a letter to the editor)
Also, I doubt very much you will get a public defender on this. They won't want to touch it, right or wrong. Maybe you should contact criminal firms and see if they will take you on pro-bono or low cost to you? Like those guys who are on tv- as in the news a lot - McMonagle, Perri, McHugh & Mischak .
Someone told me a bunch of these guys used to be in the DAs office in Philly.
They have a website: www.mpmpc.com
They have a contact form: http://www.mpmpc.com/contact-us.php
You also might be interested in this link: http://www.pmconline.org/node/23 and this press release from the DA of Montgomery County - http://www2.montcopa.org/da/cwp/view,a,1625,q,67159.asp - they have formed some sort of public corruption unit.
Truth be told, I am more than a little uncomfortable about your whole situation and don't know WHAT to believe.
Anyway, no matter how I as an one person might feel, you are entitled to your day in court. I do believe that the person you were trying to help should come forward and give credibility at this point to what you have claimed. It's kind of like in my mind, you have said enough, they need to speak up - why should you go through this hassle for them alone? I hate to use this paralell, but if someone is attacked they have to file the complaint, a helpful neighbor can't do it for them, ya know?
I would also suggest the NBC10 Investigators if you feel this strongly

So you are saying you are from Alabama, lived here for a while and were planning to move back all along?
What about this:

permalinkAs per the suggestion from Dmuth, once this case is resolved (and hopefully, it will be in the next few days), I will consider posting full disclosure and documents via an account created on Scribd.com. If you read some of the Narberth blogs of past regarding NPD police intimidation, I think you will find my case not that unusual, except that I openly questioned the actions of one officer by speaking to the Narberth Borough Commissioners.. and the incident happened to a family member who was in no position to file a formal complaint.

I am not sure if you are asking if I am associated with those links or challenging my statement that I was planning to move back all along. Yes, those links you note are associated with me, and yes, I did go to MCCF for a brief period and I am proud of standing my ground that a dying parent (my mother) has the right to remain at home and be cared for by family..that was over a year ago..I was hoping to set case precedent but the ten year custody issues were settled and all appeals, pending actions dropped before the issue came before the Superior Court.
I come from a long line of people who fought for a kinder, more just world..my grandmother was active in the civil rights movement in Montgomery, my mother worked tirelessly to improve the lives of seniors, my grandfather established mental health rehab centers all along the east coast for returning WWII vets, and more. Not everyone views a person’s willingness to go to jail for their beliefs as sane and that’s OK. I appreciate anyone’s willingness to engage in productive dialogue.
