Sobriety Checkpoint Scheduled for Friday, September 19th

Rosemont Section of Lancaster Avenue Corridor to be Targeted

Posted Date: 9/15/2008 10:33 AM

On Friday, September 19th, Lower Merion Township Police will conduct Impaired Driving Checkpoints combined with Roving Patrols throughout the Lancaster Avenue corridor in the Rosemont section of the Township....The sobriety checkpoint is being funded by a PennDOT grant and is one of many tools utilized to increase public safety through increased awareness created by high profile enforcement

(Amazing isn't it that PennDot can give so much money for stuff like this, yet people find it nigh impossible to get new traffic signals where and when they are needed? Also are there grants for stop sign enforcement?)
