Here's the article on Radnors version of "Star Search":

I am not updating the post with this article only adding a comment, because I would not call it an article, and oh yes it's filed online under "South Jersey News", just where I would look for Radnor Township. I mean WTF Inquirer? Is it only if it bleeds it leads? What happened to coverage where we live? If it wasn't fo a new blog only discovered the other day called Philly Foibles, I would not have ever seen this "article".
Radnor lays off employees to cut costs
Really, Radnor should be all over the press, even for layoffs - after all the economy gives Radnor a nice out to get rid of problematic employees who would otherwise sue, right? So here is the Main Line Media News Coverage, and note where they say they are going to rent out part of the Taj Mahal, oh I mean Township Building...sayyyyyy, here's an idea, ya know how Lower Merion says they have to rebuild part of the PSB? Well why don't they just rent some space from Radnor - after all up there, Doug Cleland would never have to worry about his view being obstructed by a garage on Bernicker, right?
There is also an article about the search for a township manager in Main Line Suburban Life. So wonder where is Bashore headed? Wouldn't you think he would leave the area after all this?

permalinkInteresting notion; in the case of Radnor Township the organizational flow chart starts with the residents, then flows to the Board of Commissioners and finally to the Township Manger.
Yup, you are right, the metaphor correctly places responsibility, or in this case, blame where it belongs.
Silence= Consent.

permalinkRight you are Chip. The number of folks who do not vote in our local elections is an embarrasment. It is also very disappointing to see the meeting room nearly empty for the meetings of Boards and Commissions.

permalinkHee hee! Carla, they make fine lobstahs (though Bashore and Malloy are really chowdah-heads) - but, to continue your metaphor, I won't be satisfied until they have all been thoroughly boiled, cracked, and have spilled their guts to the public.

Any truth to the rumor that John Rutty, the nice police superintendant is thinking of resigning or retiring?
Is it true 2 lobstahs got a one week suspension? Malloy and Blomstrom?
Is Dave interviewing "down east"?
Please note these are QUESTIONS. I am allowed to ask questions, yes?

permalinkRumor has it that Rutty resigned 2 Fridays ago because there were about to be a bunch of "personel changes" made within the RTPD without his consultation. A group of the commissioners "spent the weekend" trying to get him to reconsider. I do not believe that he has actaully stopped working. I also believe that the acting Manager is currently away on Vacation. So I am guessing that the acting Manager was going to gut the force in the name of savings without Rutty's permission so Rutty quit. The commissioners have convinced Rutty to stay, but eh whole thing has not been resolved because the Manager is away. The Manager's absence may explain the relative calm in the storm right now in Radnor. Watch for an investigation of the pension plan and how the investment manager was selected. Watching for the termination of the "Lobstahs" (One may have already been let go) Thats as much hearsay as I know.
