Final Penna Budget Deficit $3.25 Billion

The budget was signed early July 2008. Revenues began to fall off the following month, August 2008.

Revenue Shortfalls were foreseen and foreseeable by both General Assembly and the Governor before Budget was enacted as Republican Senate Appropriation Chair Gib Armstrong and Paul Dlugolecki, a senior Democratic staff aide to the Senate Appropriations Committee, told Associated Press Paul Levy on 3rd of July, one day before the Budget was passed by General Assembly.

Can the Governor and the General Assembly be trusted to tell the truth, the whole truth about the budget? about spending? about taxes? about anything?

Can the Governor or the General Assembly be trusted to act responsibly fiscally or otherwise?
