Enrique was a true D.B., and when he was talking about the 5th ward not having much representation, well, hmmmmm that was his pal who was MIA, right? And he has had a spotty attendance record too, hasn't he in 2009? And that Jim Grossman, well, ummm, hmmm..interesting referring to Ernie as being "convicted"? CONVICTED? Seriously, that was a funny choice of words, LOL. And I am sorry, Ernie's talents as a coach have nothing to do with any other ability, but hey, Ronnie started as an actor, didn't he?

Around 20 minutes in when Christina Perrone asks about furloughs and remarks that raising taxes 30 -40 percent would be really awful, I hear Spingler pipe in...NEW RULE! Spingler's New Math! 24 minutes in, it really kicks in...LOL...sorry, the topic isn't funny but that argumentative codger is. He also looooovvvves to interupt like talking over people is the right things to do.

NOW, I have something to say about Elaine Paul Schaefer politicking at the podium. She upTALKS from the NewTOWN Square secTION of the townSHIP. She is runNING for 4th ward commissioNER and everyTHING she says is sing song upTALK like she isn't sure if she is makING a stateMENT or asking a quesTION.

So now because I criticized Elaine Paul Schaefer is she now going to have people say that she lives in fear of me and a simple Chicken Sandwich?

And oh yes, were those her roots showing? Touch UP? And she says umm a lot.

And then Elaine is followed up by a wandering Schneller...I wonder was that him napping on camera before? Or was his head just down?

Oh swell...tailgates are back on the main VU lot and out of control? And Enrique mentioned tailgates at Radnor High School? As in high school where alcohol is served? Why does Enrique drop his "G's" constantly? He sounds, well, so low class. John Fisher is not wrong. Sorry. Where was Rutty? Why is Enrique poo-pooing this? Merion Community Coalition should listen to this part of Radnor's meeting - they will find it enlightening

Athletics expands tailgating to Pike Lot
University approves tailgating for single-game ticket holders

Villanova University Department of Athletics is allowing tailgating for single-game ticket holders this football season for the first time in more than fifteen years, according to Director of Athletics Vince Nicastro. Tailgating tickets will be available for purchase each game-day at the entrance of Pike Lot for $20 per car starting three hours prior to kickoff.

In previous years, tailgating was available solely for season-ticket holders in the parking lots behind Villanova Stadium.

Students, who receive free admission to football games with their WildCard, were consequently excluded from participating in pre-game tailgates. Saturday's home opener will mark the first time many students will have the opportunity to join the ritual.

"This decision was in large part due to the feedback we have received from fans over time," Nicastro said. "[The decision] is designed to accommodate Villanova football supporters who wish to enjoy some food, beverage and fellowship prior to our games."

Nicastro reminds students, however, that tailgating regulations will be strictly enforced - including University policies on alcohol.

"Underage drinking is illegal and can compromise the safety of our community," said Director of Public Safety Dave Tedjeske. "Public Safety officers will be actively looking for underage or excessive drinking and will involve Radnor to handle these types of incidents."

Public Safety will check identification upon request, Tedjeske said.

According to the Athletics' Web site, other tailgating regulations include bans on kegs, bottles and "funnels designed for drinking games."

And then of course we heard from the scintillating Dan Molloy Lobstah Boy

And then my favorite part of any meeting: public privilege!!!

Enriique sure pulled a Spingler on Christina Perrone with his bad attytude-interruptitis. Now I am not going to agree with Tom Masterson on a point of order: Public Privilege should be for the public to discuss what is on their mind. In Lower Merion we have Public Comment for Agenda only items and Public Privilege to capture the other issues on the mind of the public. Oh hello? Radnor?

Good catch Dan Sherry on the documents that were released before sensitive items were properly redacted - but they were just social security numbers, right?

I've posted before how I can't stand the Lower Merion term "public privilege". The ability to petition the government and to freely speak are rights - not a privilege granted by the government.

One thing Radnor gets right is the back and forth questions/conversations between commissioners and citizens. In Lower Merion everybody speaks, and then the commissioners address the little people, and if a commissioner gives a smack down (as often happens), there is no way for a citizen to respond other than to wait a month. It's an arrogant and demeaning set-up they have in Lower Merion.
