Showtime! On September 8, 2008 the Administration and consultant Ross Haber officially present Plan 1 to the full School Board in a public meeting:

Students Doe Exhibit 34

Part of this meeting was transcribed:

Students Doe Exhibit 08

The Public was given thier first opportunity to speak, sharing their views on the plan on September 11. The reaction was swift, with diversity and race being raised as a concern immediately. Part of the meeting, in which Dr. McGinley responds to a resident raising this concern, is transcribed here:

Students Doe Exhibit 09

A resident in the Penn Wynne Elementary Zone also immediately pointed out the issue of race as being problematic in an exchange with David Ebby:

Students Doe Exhibit 82

Parent groups started forming on the Internet as well. Most notably, the public web group Penn Wynne Parents got organized, with one of their key objections being to the division of South Ardmore to promote 'diversity' - both the morality and the legality of that decision.

Next up: Discussions, meetings, and 180's.

The LMSD is paying Judy Harris $500 an hour, and she can't do a better job of prepping her witness? Really. Dr. Haber was like a deer in headlights.

But seriously, who was on this "committee" he met with before the public "hearings?" He was building up to the last of the five scenarios? What? Were we set up? Let's give two scenarios that piss off the neighborhoods that we know we are going to ultimately protect and then settle on the scenario that protect those people and screws the neighborhoods that we were going to screw in the first place.
