Board president John Nagle did say this week that there was “a difference in legal approach” between Morris and the current board.
Since Morris was honest, forthright and considered the taxpayers in his legal opinions, I would suggest that is the “difference in legal approach”.

I'm thinking the same thing, Politeia!
I remember being very pleased by Morris' involvement in the Bashore scandal. I also remember Morris commenting, during a BoC meeting, that the Bashore 'contract' WAS NOT A CONTRACT - and yet, the Nagle Board allowed Bashore to enjoy the benefit of the 'contract' and a few months ago, voted to give Bashore a discount settlement on said 'contract'.
I'm interested in seeing how this will play out, and what other information will come forward.

i remember that too. no surprise whatsoever that the team of nagle/schaefer/spingler want to cut ties with morris.
spingler = wants to write dave bashore a letter of recomendation, and advocated settling with bashore during bashores termination hearing
nagle = told local reporters that he wanted the bashore investigation to take place behind closed doors
schaefer = hugged dave bashore during bashores termination hearing
what a lousy board. i cant wait for election season.

i am a little disappointed that the reporter didnt find out more questions from nagle on this issue. what type of nagelish answer is 'we had differences in the legal approach'?!
if nagle feeds the press garbage, they should ask follow up questions. nagle certainly wont answer questions from bloggers on this site (he fled s.a.c. a long time ago) so it is important that the press ask nagle the questions that need to be asked, or find another source. john fisher seems a lot more earnest and forthcoming than nagle. why not make him the news source?

Makes plenty of sense to me. The press should speak to John Fisher. Or Kevin Higgins. Or Don Curley.
Neil Morris certainly won't reveal the details (indeed, he shouldn't, as he is precluded from doing so due to attorney-client confidentiality). However, there is no similar restriction on the Board (clients can waive the confidentiality).
Somebody on the board should come forward and explain the situation, and the explanation should be more detailed than 'differences in the legal approach'.
I agree with all the comments above. No one could be happier than Hank Mahoney and Bill Spingler who are dancing down the hallways of the huge township building.

Thanks for the nod to this, John. Wonder why Neil Morris took a powder? How much did Radnor pay to this guy and firm to date, and what did they actually accomplish? Bashoregate, the gift that keeps on giving.
