During this period, January 2009 when Barack Obama was sworn in as President to  January 2012, the US real unemployment has risen to 15.2 %. (U-6 Rate Portal 7 December 2011)

The U.S. unemployment rate dropped to 8.5% in December, while a broader measure dropped even further to 15.2% from 15.6% the prior month, both at their lowest levels since February 2009. (WSJ 6 January 2012)

During this same period of time, coincidentally, Barack Obama has been president of the US; the Obama Administration, coincidentally, during this period of time, has spent trillions and trillions of dollars, incurred trillions and trillions in debt and deficit, devalued the dollar, and fewer and fewer Americans are working.

Correlation or Cause? Is it only unfortunate coincidence that during the Obama Administration fewer and fewer Americans are working?

Who Benefitted?

Unfortunately, a large percentage of voters, dependent on government handouts, would rather bankrupt the country than vote Republican.

The Titanic did sink and Greece is burning.

The Informed Voter is My Ally. And you can't contradict a single fact, can you? so you resort to insults and ad hominem personal attacks because you don't like the facts that I post. I will wait to see if any come to my defense. I am sure if I respond to the attack, I will be pounded. It would be good if you countered facts with facts but you can't so you isolate, personalize and demonize in the manner of Alinsky ACORN Media Matters network.

Suppressing relevant information is the only way the Left can win this election.

It is called the FIRST Amendment for a reason.

What happens in Washington and Harrisburg doesn't affect Lower Merion?  a parochial and provincial view, is it not?

Oy.

I suppose it really isn’t up to me (or you), it’s up to the people who moderate this forum, if this posting (and many of your others) apply to the intended purpose of this forum. I generally go to forums that pertain to a specific topic, and discuss those topics there. For example, you should take this over to your redstate blog, where it belongs.

This used to be a great source of quality, local information, and discussion... but now when you click on the 'Recent Posts' link, we are inundated with your propaganda. I started reading this forum around the time of the destruction of La Ronda, and carla's post had wonderful pictures and information that couldnt be found anywhere else. THOSE are the types of posts people come here for, not this...

You want to know "where are the jobs?"......

HOME DEPOT- Plenty of Jobs! Most part time. Eight bucks an hour. No benefits such as medical. Won't hire folks from the trades cause they know too much.

THE MALL- Plenty of Jobs! Most part time. Seven bucks an hour. No benefits. nasty, mean managers.

The list goes on and on!

So the GOVT thinks these are REAL jobs. These are not REAL jobs. They are shit jobs.

There are SO MANY people that basically have NO HOPE out there. And there are SO MANY people that IGNORE them. I for one have HAD IT. You can argue ALL DAY long about the "bad other party", and essentially this gets the Country NO WHERE.

2 weeks ago I printed the change of party form. I was going to leave the Republican party and become an independent. In my opinion EVERYONE effected by this "recession/depression" should become independent because neither party CARES about us!

I can respect that, but I also think going independent in a state like PA with closed primaries plays into the hands of both parties.

Their base shrinks to hardcore followers and they then get to nominate candidates that independents don't like from both parties and you are left with nobody to vote for in the general election.

Both parties are a disgrace, IMHO.

I think voters should have no allegiance to either and change parties each election depending on who they like in the primaries (local, state and national).

Or, you can get involved in a movement that meets most of your views and try and Take A Political Party Over (not saying this is the one for everyone - just an example).

You have an excellent point. "Indpendependent of Party Leadership" is a key qualitification in my view. Not exactly your point but the action is in the primaries and, in particular, the Republican primaries.

Bob - this is a community blog that is privately owned by the webmaster. Perhaps you could kind of consider that you are at this point going overboard with your anti-left rhetoric? Free speech and all considered, this is not just your website. You still have a dedicated blog, right? Maybe if you are going to be posting so much you could put up posts here that are summaries in a collective of what you are doing on your stand-alone blog? http://thelibertyblog.org/ ? I missed along the way that I am not the only person to ask you to consider this? http://www.saveardmorecoalition.org/node/5472/bob-guzzardi

I realize that asking you to do this will open up your version of the hounds of hell on me, but I would just appreciate it if you could be considerate of the diverse readership and the people that no longer feel they can come here and post about local issues.

Thanks

I'll second that.

I respect all views being heard, but there needs to be a reasonable limit.

Note what I posted in reference to you, Bob, just about one year ago in starting my big Ron Paul Thread.

As I mentioned to one blogger recently, if you have topics that are not directly related to local issues, and may relate to a particular political ideology, instead of inundating the SAC blogs with blog posts on those topics, why not combine them into one substantive post every now and then instead of providing for “blam” - blog spam?

I would suggest readers don't feel overwhelmed with my posts in support of Ron Paul.

I keep it primarily to one thread, I don't post more than a few times a week, and people can ignore that one thread if they don't like the topic.

Perhaps you can have one thread with the political issues you wish to address and honestly, and respectfully, I think the amount you post and the names you call the party/ideology you post against turns not only turns people off in general (and particularly those who feel directly insulted), but it gives a bad name to those who may support some or even most of your views.

I'd respectfully suggest more moderation and fewer caustic comments on those whose political views you disagree with.
