Jobs, Jobs, Jobs and the cost of living The U.S. economy supports 740,000 fewer jobs today than when Obama became president Gas prices are up more than 200% since Obama took office. US Taxpayer government debt is up FIVE trillion dollars since the Obama Administration took charge. Who can say we are better off after three and half years of the Obama Administration? The Social Issues, Class Warfare, Race baiting rhetoric are a distractions in this election. The Liberal Media raise these issues to distract from the core issue of the economy. Demonizing the productive in the name of "social justice" and "paying their fair share", promoting redistribution of wealth created by individual initiative and talent promotes the power of government over private sector, free market growth in the standard of living for us all. Productivity depends on profit. Profit pays people. Profit pays working people and rewards risk taking entrepreneurs, profit pays savers who invest in job creating businesses, profits pay savers who live on those profits.

Lower Merion is not an island, in a bubble, unaffected by larger economy. There are many in Lower Merion who don't have jobs because of the Obama economy.
This is not class warfarel this is about growing the economy or growing government.

Can someone tell me why "leveling the playing field", "the rich paying their fair share" and "spreading the wealth around" is not Socialism?

If we want to read about the super-rich's 30 year class war on the middle class, or if we get a rise out of seeing the first lady picked on, or if we just generally enjoy 2 out of 3 posts being filled with irrelevant right-wing screed, it would be nice if we had somewhere other than here to find it.
