Greetings fellow "property rights" protectors.
Just a quick note of our "rally" that was held on June 23rd in front of Bernard Luggage in Hollywood, CA just off the famous intersection of Hollywood and Vine Street.
After holding a variety of property right signs and waving at passing vehicles, two dozen activists gathered to form a human chain around the front of the building which the LA city council plans to take over on Tuesday June 27th. They hope to build a W hotel on that site that has been owned by Bob Blue and his family for over 50 years.
I did send one of our photos to Save Ardmore Coalition members earlier and can reissue them if requested.
As to the Kelo and Cristofaro pending settlements. Not being privy to the terms and conditions of the proposals we should await the final action which is to occur on or before June 30th. Those families are all hero's to us. They exposed the flaws in our legal system and forced us to take action in individual states to tighten up property rights protection. In one of the justices written opinion we were told that individual states can enact statutes and Constitutional Amendments that are more protective than this flawed federal ruling.
Together we shall prevail.
Best wishes from southern CA.
